Kepler is changing the face of satellite communications by launching the largest constellation of telecommunication nanosatellites in the world. With over 5 million in venture funding, a handful of early customers, and our first satellite in orbit, Kepler is currently doubling in size!

We invest heavily to deliver the best products to our customers, and so we’re on the hunt for an individual that is experienced in regulatory affairs, be that nationally or internationally.

At Kepler, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a small and dedicated team that is quickly working towards a coordinated and internationally licensed system. Kepler’s constellation is already delivering service with a single satellite on orbit and regulatory team is tasked at expanding the markets to which the system can provide connectivity.

You will be responsible for securing MSS and FSS earth station licenses across the globe, interfacing with respective administrations to explain Kepler’s system and ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant regulations. In addition, you will work with the team to identify risks in ongoing developments at the ITU / CITEL / CEPT / FCC. This will include interfacing with the engineering team to understand the technical implications and drafting public responses or comments.

Other duties may include assisting the team with coordination work, particularly forming contracts and negotiations, review of inbound coordination requests as well as assessing newly filed systems for interference potential, link budget analysis and competitive concerns.


Required Skills

· 3 years minimum work experience in Licensing, Market Access, or spectrum related regulatory work.

· Fluent in English, with exceptional ability to write and present formal documentation

· Legal or Engineering degree preferred, with a strong ability to analytically solve problems

· Demonstrated ability to navigate ITU / CITEL /CEPT / FCC processes and gather relevant information to derive strategic ways of advancing an agenda

· Self-driven with the ability to focus in an open-concept work environment

· Excellent time management and organizational skill required

Bonus Points

· Knowledge of a second or third language of high value

· Existing relationship with regulators and/or relevant contractors

· Ability and willingness to travel
